RE: Any other boaters??

We also boat at Cave Run and Lake Cumberland but spend most of our time at Laurel Lake in Ky. We're the obnoxious yellow Sea Ray with the loud corsa exhaust that my lovely dh just added...and on top of that noise, 4 kids!

RE: NO Hot Water - Just de-winterized

I haven't read the other replies so sorry if this was mentioned...we just dealt with the same problem, just make sure the by-pass valve is turned so that the water heater fills with water. You might also want to hit the reset button as well.

RE: KEYSTONE COUGAR POORLY CONSTRUCTED!

Sorry to hear that. We have a 2008 Keystone Cougar 29bhs and have been quite happy with it. I hope that you can get yours taken care of right away.

Any other boaters??

Just wondering who else boats and camps? What kind of boat do you have? We are avid boaters and bought our camper last year so that we could stay out at the lake for several days rather than turn around and come home the same day. We camp right at the lake so its all right there, beautiful campgrounds..it all works out great. Post moved from TT Forum to General Forum Moderator - TT Forum

RE: Jellystone near Mammouth Cave State Park in KY

I haven't stayed there but have read reviews on it and they weren't that great. I also wasn't impressed with the pictures of it. I have read high reviews for the Mammoth Caves Campgrounds.

RE: newbie black tank question

We add about 1-2 gallons of water in both the black and gray tank. I also put in a little chemical and a drop in thing in the black tank after its been dumped. A friend of ours forgot once to put in water and chemical in their black tank and it smelled horrible the next time they used it.

RE: Unwinterizing water heater...

Will check Thursday, we left it at our favorite campsite for the week which is an hour and a half away so I wasn't able to go right out to it. We'll be camping at the lake again this weekend for 3 days so we'll definitely need hot water. I'm thinking I'm going to have to take the bottom bunk apart to find it.

RE: Your thoughts on installing a hitch on the back of your TT?

It's also legal in Ky. We tow our 23' boat and a jet ski behind that, but nothing behind the trailer. Luckily, we have all three in storage about a mile away from the lake at which we camp. :)

RE: Unwinterizing water heater...

Thanks for the replies. I have bunk beds behind mine and could have sworn I looked there but I'll look closer. There is also a storage area near there so maybe in its in there as well.

RE: black water tank

I've heard great things about the Flush King from other owners, especially how it gets the sensors working again. I just recently bought one myself and was amazed that after dumping the tank and then using the Flush King, how much cleaner it got the tank.

Unwinterizing water heater...

I have a 2008 Cougar 29bhs and have unwinterized the trailer and had a great weekend of camping this past weekend...however without hot water. I can't find the bypass valve anywhere to be able to fill the water heater with water. We called the dealer and the service dept. is closed but the lady at the desk said its inside the trailer behind the water heater. I cannot find it at all, I have removed panels and everything and still can't find it. Does anyone have this trailer and/or have any idea where it could possibly be??
